EVERYone could VIEW the results from the EC’s ( Elections Commissions ) Official Website at:
go to ‘GALERI INFORMASI’ section and then click on
‘ Fakta Pilihan Raya’ and then click on ‘Keputusan Pilihan Raya Umum ke-12’. Or simply click on:
Click on ‘Keputusan’ then click on ‘Dewan Rakyat’ which is our lower house or “House of Representatives” then click on ‘Kedudukan Kerusi’ to view.
Now in THIS chart which I have SIMPLIFIED for everyone, I have RE-Organized in a RANKING ORDER
according to STATES and Constituencies in Malaysia with the “MOST” Parliamentary Seats to the least.
Some which have the “SAME” amount of Parliamentary Seats, I have ranked according to which State may also have the most “State Assembly” seats or ‘Dewan Undangan Negeri’ ( DUN ) seats in comparison to verify which one to put on top of the other.
I have also SIMPLIFIED for ALL MAlaysians the outlay of our Dewan Rakyat ( House of Representatives ) which I’ve taken from:
http://en.wikipedia.org/
which was last updated in 2011, to make it EASIER for everyone to view which also includes the position of “INDEPENDENT” members, and the current number of seats AFTER you MINUS the:
– FROGS &
– FAITH JUMPERS/REPENTERS
The Rules are quite simple…out of 222 Parliamentary Seats…WHOEVER reaches or controls the MAJORITY seats…MORE than 50%…which is exactly 111 Seats, gets to FORM the next “FEDERAL GOVERNMENT”.
Now in elections…usually the SYMBOL used which you will often see worn by OFFICIAL Political Party members on their T-Shirts of Vest will often Designate which “Branch” ( Ranting ), “Division” ( Cabang/Bahagian ) they are a member of or from.
For example the letter “P” will denote often a “Cabang” or UMNO calls a “Bahagian”, the P often stands for a “PARLIAMENTARY” seat area, thus often a Ketua Cabang/Division Chief or Ketua Bahagian in any political party is someone who often was ‘elected’ by members of that party and won to represent that Division.
For example, where I’m living in Sabah is PENAMPANG: Which is a Parliamentary Seat denoted as “P.174” in my area. The PKR Division Chief here is Darell Leiking: who is also Deputy Secretary General for PKR Malaysia.
If you see the letter “N” either on the T-Shirt or Vest of anyone from a political party, this often denotes a “Ranting” or “Branch” as the N denotes “NEGERI” which represents a “STATE ASSEMBLY SEAT” or “Dewan Undangan Negeri”.
Usually WITHIN a single PARLIAMENTARY AREA or “P”, there may be SEVERAL…2 or 3 NEGERI ( N ) or Dewan Undangan Negeri ( DUN ) seats for Representation at the State Assembly Level.
Just LIKE in Parliament: WHICHEVER Party WINS the MAJORITY of the “STATE ASSEMBLY SEATS” or “Dewan Undangan Negeri” ( DUN ) seats which on the card would be represented by the letter “N”…thus that party would be able to form the “STATE GOVERNMENT”….
…just the SAME way that PKR managed to form the
the State Government for Selangor, PAS for Kelantan and DAP for Penang.
But as you could SEE from the Results of the LAST GE-12. There were in-fact 8 SEATS won by Barisan Nasional ( BN ) which they had won UNCONTESTED or ‘Menang Tanpa Bertanding’ ( MTB ). Which happened only in 3 States which were:
– Sarawak
– Johor &
– Sabah
…but amongst the MAIN reasons this happen was in-fact because of DIVISIONS of Voters where in MANY areas such as in Sabah and parts of Sarawak, instead of it being a 1 ON 1 contest between BN vs Pakatan…
Some seats became 3 way and even 4 WAY CORNER FIGHTS which included “INDEPENDENTS” as in some areas BOTH DAP & PAS or DAP & PKR members contested against 1 BN candidate and probably 1 Independent thus dividing the votes which made the chances of winning for the BN candidate even much EASIER!
“PAKATAN RAKYAT” was only Officially established “AFTER” the 12th General elections as a formally agrred upon “COALITION FOR THE PEOPLE” on the 1st of APRIL 2008, which was only AFTER the 12th General Elections.
The remaining seating results of Parliament as seen in the Diagram above is due to:
– Sabah Progressive Party ( SAPP’s )
decision to LEAVE Barisan Nasional ( BN )
in Sabah
– FROGS & KANGAROOS that jumped
from Pakatan component parties
to Barisan ( BN )
– Former Pakatan Rakyat ticket
candidates that went INDEPENDENT
but “BN” friendly.
– Faith Jumpers whom finally had
the COURAGE to take a leap
of FAITH from BN/UMNO to
join Pakatan such as in Sabah
Now that the formal coalition and agreement from Pakatan Rakyat’s TOP LEADERS have been formed, thus past problems of OVERLAPPING CANDIDATES will no longer occur though purely “LOCAL PARTIES” such
as SAPP & STAR Sabah led by Malaysia’s KING OF FROGS: Jeffrey Kitingan may become “VOTE DIVIDERS” in Sabah in the upcoming 13th General Electons.
Let us all hope & pray in this YEAR OF THE SNAKE that there will be no more POISONING of each other and that all FROGS will meet their doom!
TEACH a friend and “KNOW” your “PARLIAMENTARY” area ( P ) where you are voting.
If you want to VOLUNTEER, find your nearest Pakatan Rakyat “Cabang/Bahagian” or even “Ranting” office nearest to you!
I will be updating the results of the ELECTIONS based upon “STATE ASSEMBLY SEATS” by ranking according to “STATE” with the most seats to the least later!
“SHARE” & teach a friend!
READY FOR CHANGE!
