马来西亚的华语特色是混合各种方言和马来语与英语等，这种‘周身刀无把利’的多语环境与能力，也是我国人民所面临的窘境，即我国华语使用特色偏向简单与实用为主，却因缺乏文化主体性，创造力显得薄弱。

也因为方言的广泛使用，使它的影响根深柢固，成为马来西亚华语的一部分。例如“吸水管”（吸管）本地的说法是“水草”，中、台华裔大概敲破脑袋也不能把这两件风马牛不相及的东西联想起来。 http://ow.ly/uD9tO
