指若反對派上場
禁非回教徒吃豬肉飲啤酒
執政黨硬箍華人票
馬來西亞這次大選爭持激烈，佔全國1/4人口的華人取態對選情舉足輕重。由於多數華人不滿長期做二等公民，支持反對派，執政國民陣線選前只能靠華人候選人上門逐家箍票，同時抹黑指反對派人民聯盟上台後，華人將不能食豬肉麵，希望盡量止血，另一邊煽動排華情緒來鞏固馬來族支持。
在吉隆坡市郊的票站，不少華人選民都說要換政府。36歲的王先生說：「我想變，國陣對待（不同種族）做生意和教育的機會不公平，生活開支上升，政府對爭取投資又做得不夠。」53歲建築師黎先生說：「我對政府不滿，大馬有種族問題和安全問題，又有很多浪費低效率。」
