民主行动党主席卡巴星今早被高庭判处煽动罪成，罚款4000令吉，唯卡巴星仍可对这次判决提出上诉。

卡巴星今早被高庭判处煽动罪成

卡巴星也是继民联国会反对党领袖安华之后，第二名议员在505全国大选后被判罪成的重量级领袖。

卡巴星被判处的因由出于2009年发表相关霹雳州宪政危机的疑似冒犯苏丹言论，而被指抵触国家煽动罪。

根据法律，任何一名议员被判入狱1年或罚款超过2000令吉，都会自动失去议员资格。这也意味着，如果卡巴星不提出上诉直接缴交4000令吉罚款，卡巴星所属的武吉牛汝莪国席，或将会出现补选。

卡巴星在505大选上狂赢马华候选人郑明炎41,778张票，并以55,839票轻松胜出。
