不久前刚辞去行动党全国主席职，有“日落洞之虎”之称的资深律师卡巴星今日凌晨在南北大道发生严重车祸而不幸去世，享年74岁。
根据《马新社》报道，金宝警区主任黄光顺表示，车上共有5人，这场车祸导致2死1伤，长期为他服务的助理迈克（Michael Cornelius Selvam Vellu）也在该车祸中去世，而印尼籍女佣则重伤。
卡巴星儿子蓝卡巴星（Ram Karpal）和司机所幸逃过鬼门关，没有受伤。
